1. Yarn FAQ
What types of yarn bases do you carry?
Fixation Fibre & Function offers hand-dyed yarn on several bases including merino, silk blends, nylon blends, fingering weight yarn, DK yarn, and limited-edition seasonal bases. All yarns list fibre content, yardage, and weight.
Are your yarns hand-dyed?
Yes. All yarn is small-batch, hand-dyed in Calgary, Alberta. Each skein is unique, which is normal for artisan yarn.
Do you accept custom dye orders?
Yes, custom colours and quantities are available when my schedule allows.
What is your yarn return policy?
All yarn is final sale due to its handmade, one-of-a-kind nature. If there is an issue, customers can contact me for support.
2. Handmade Bags & Accessories FAQ
Are the bags handmade?
Yes. All bags, pouches, and accessories are handmade by Nicole using high-quality fabrics, interfacing, and hardware.
Do you take custom bag orders?
Custom bags are available on a limited basis, depending on current workload.
How do I care for my handmade bag?
Spot-clean only. Avoid machine washing. Do not bleach. Waxed canvas items should avoid heat and tumble drying.

Do you offer shipping?
Yes. Shipping is available across Canada and the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
Ready-to-ship items ship within 1-3 business days. Made-to-order items vary.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Local pickup is available in South Calgary (Riverbend). Pickup instructions are emailed after purchase.
Do you offer free shipping?
Free shipping on orders of $110 CAD or higher.

Is everything available online also available at markets?
No. Markets feature exclusive colourways, one-of-a-kind bags, and new releases not yet listed online.

What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, cash, e-transfer (Canada only), and card payments at markets.

Do you offer wholesale or consignment?
Wholesale is not available at this time. Consignment is considered case-by-case for local shops.
Do you teach workshops?
Workshops may be offered in the future for dyeing, crochet, and basic sewing. Subscribers receive early access.
